A Morning With Bree

Bree wanted to make sure I got the details right. What is a “Morning in the Life” of Bree like? As dictated by Bree, today it looked like this…

6:15 I heard the alarm and started to snuffle, “It’s time to wake up!” Mom opened my crate and the search for a sock began. I ran right for Mom’s sock drawer to find a clean one! Found the sock, ran back to Mom, offered her the sock, and demanded my morning pets. She let Patch out of his crate and we charged down the stairs and into the kitchen. While Patch was busy looking for his stuffed Fox, I found the warm spot where the heat comes out of the vent and settled in. I have to get there quickly every morning, before the other dogs try to nudge their way in.

8:00 Breakfast time! Why does this always take so long? Because Patch won’t stay on his spot and wait patiently, that’s why!! Daphne drools, Cali gets antsy and I get hangry! Why does he zip around like a madman when he knows none of us gets breakfast until he calms down? But finally, when it was time to dig in, what did we have today? Crickets??!!! Yes, crickets.

11:00 Cali, Patch, Mom and I went for a romp on the hill. Everyone wonders why I don’t like to walk on a leash. Well, I’m not sure I can explain it, I just prefer to be carried. Today we had the whole field to ourselves which was awesome. No need to bark at the big dogs from the neighborhood to remind them not to mess with me. Just a glorious time to sniff stuff, jog around, and enjoy being out and about - and not on a leash :)

11:45 Nap time. Curled up on my pillow, with another sock, I slept - until I smelled lunch!
